Patients of the resort are welcome to admire the magnificent panorama of Beskid, near the Ostrava town. Klimkovice is one of the youngest and most modern spa resorts in the Czech Republic, the treatment in which relies on the natural healing mineral waters of this region, bromine iodide ones, according to their chemical composition. The activity of spa resort here began in 1994, when a completely new spa complex was opened, consisting of two unique buildings that have no equals in the world, and which received several prestigious awards for the originality of architectural solution. The idea of \u200b\u200bpossibility to build a new resort arose due to planned expansion of mining production in the area of \u200b\u200bthe Darkov resort, founded in 1867.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Because of new plans in Darkov, it was decided to survey the region of Polanka, Star\u00e1 B\u011bl\u00e1 and Jestebnik. Several deep wells from 300 to 400 meters were drilled, which confirmed the presence of deep waters rich in minerals, primarily iodine and bromine in concentrations up to 52 mg\/1 liter, which is the largest concentration of these minerals in Europe. And although the mining activity in Darkov finally had not expanded and the activity of Darkov resort continued, it was decided to open a new resort, and it became L\u00e1zn\u00ed Klimkovice. Nature near the resort town offers patients great opportunities of long walks and even more difficult and longer walking and cycling tours. KLIMKOVICE – TREATMENT<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]The basis of treatment in Klimkovice is a unique product of the tertiary period – highly concentrated iodine-bromide water (the so-called solianka-brine) with salt concentration twice as high as in seawater. In Europe, iodine-methyl solianka was found only in Italy, Austria, Southern Poland, but the most effective, with the highest content of healing substances, was in the Czech Republic – near Ostrava town. Currently, this water is no longer being produced in nature, its reserves are limited and therefore even more valuable. Klimkovick\u00e9 L\u00e1zn\u011b pump iodine-bromide solianka at Polanca nad Odrou out of four wells at a depth of 400-500 meters. From there, the water is supplied to the sanatorium Klimkovice by a pipeline 11 km long. After delivery, the water is \u201cripening\u201d for 2-3 weeks in special tanks, and only then it is supplied to balneotherapy and medical rehabilitation departments. The treatment is done in the form of individual baths for the whole body or local wraps. Most procedures in Klimkovice are more or less associated with this unique healing water, which helps the treatment and rehabilitation process for adults and children suffering from a rather wide spectrum of diseases. These include diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous diseases, cardiovascular diseases, gynecological diseases or metabolic disorders. During local application of iodine-bromide water to skin, iodine, caused by a chemical reaction, remains in the surface layer of skin.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]In such a way the so-called iodine depot, not washable by water, is formed. And then iodine is gradually being absorbed into the body from it. Iodine-bromide water improves the ligamentous apparatus, relieves muscle contractures, increases blood supply to tissues and organs, reduces acute and chronic inflammatory processes, eliminates skin defects, lowers blood pressure, and has an analgetic effect. L\u00e1zn\u011b Klimkovice dominate in rehabilitation of patients after replacement of major joints. A unique treatment method developed in L\u00e1zn\u011b Klimkovice is the so-called KlimTherapy, which helps in treatment of neurological disorders resulting from stroke, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, post-surgery complications and injuries. Following the needs of these clients, a specialized neuro-rehabilitation center was built, offering a wide range of treatment methods that can positively affect the general condition of the client. The method developed by US specialists was first used in Europe by L\u00e1zn\u00ed Klimkovice\u2019s staff. Among other things, the surrounding forested area with clean air, the quality of which is regularly checked, assist in the effectiveness of treatment.
